Welcome to Simplify 2016 challenge!

You're in for a treat! Here's some insight on the challenge and the heart behind it. :)  and see the surprise at the end!

You know that point where you have so many things to do that you feel paralyzed by the to-do list? I was there. All. The. Time. I found myself cancelling plans last minute because I was simply too tired to get out of bed, running around place to place, while not having enough time to nurture current relationships. When opportunities came up, my heart said “absolutely!”, my brain said “probably not”, my schedule said “heck no”, but my mouth still replied “Sure.” It became a cycle of FOMO. [FOMO- fear of missing out] 

So there I was, sitting at my desk feeling completely overwhelmed by my schedule, when I decided to make a change (for real this time). It was time to simplify my life, not just for the weekend, but forever. Across the next week, the Holy Spirit revealed this to me: 2016 is the year of simplicity. I grabbed hold onto that notion and started action… IMMEDIATELY. I’ve found it best to listen to the Lord according to His timing, not mine.

Since you’re reading this, you’re probably a lot like me. You love people. You love serving. You’re the one that everyone counts on. BUT, you’re constantly tired, overwhelmed, and even frustrated because there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day. Maybe you need to simplify your life too.

Here are the rules to Simplify 2016:

• Say“no” to anything and everything that is not aligned with your purpose for THIS season
• Become more intentional about scheduling rest/ "Me" time
• Lean on your a circle of friends, family, and accountability partners to keep you focused

Now that we’re on this journey together, I’ll be sending out a monthly newsletter to encourage, uplift you, and keep you focused on your goals for this year. So, start with the three bullets above and start living more simply and intentionally.
