When Good Intentions Aren't Enough...

Cyber Monday.

A day known for scouring online for the best deals.

A day conveniently occurring shortly after we boast of contentment and gratitude. (No shade!)

AND a day that’s nearly a month (33 days to be exact!) away from January 1st.

Think about it. In a month, we’ll be setting New Year’s Resolutions, going on fasts, and declaring that 2017 is going to be drastically different than this year and all years prior. We won’t address the fact that most of the stuff we decreed and declared over our lives this year didn’t happen. We didn’t make a mountain of extra cash. We didn’t hit the gym more. We didn’t stop eating the junk food. We just…didn’t.

Here’s a fact…and you can take it to the bank.

Success comes from follow through, not good intentions.

Why aren’t good intentions good enough?

Mindset – If there isn’t a major shift in mindset and perspective, you will remain in the same place. Yes, you came up with the idea to eat healthier, but what have you done to discourage bad behaviors and encourage good ones? Have you researched the benefits? Have you thrown out the bad food? Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? There must be a shift in how you view that thing to experience a true transformation.

Accountability – Who’s there to make sure you follow through? What’s in place to keep you on track? True accountability will keep you focused on the goal, when you feel like giving up.

Purpose – Why do you want to accomplish the goal? Many times, we don’t look deep enough. We have surface level reasons, that don’t propel us forward. “Just because” is not enough. The purpose must be bigger than you.

If you’re looking for a mindset shift, accountability, purpose and/or a plan, it’s time for a change. I will be hosting a live training, #LifeGoals, on December 4th at 6pm EST. It’s jam packed with 90+ minutes of content. The session will be interactive and 2017 is guaranteed to look different with implementation.

I’m excited for you to set and accomplish everything you intend next year!

Hugs!
