#GetYourLife: The Game Plan

See this social icon list in the original post

If you’ve been following me on the interwebs (see below), you know I have been traveling… A LOT. I guess it’s the perk of living far away? :) Anywho, I was in yet another airport on Friday evening and ran into a friend of mine at the gate. What are the odds?!

We chatted about our summers and what we’ve been working on in life and business. She mentioned the term “Finish Strong” and how she was getting focused on maximizing the last quarter of the year. Yes, you read that right. Come September, there are only FOUR months left this year. We rounded out the conversation discussing our goals and how we were going to achieve them in the next four months.

Let’s be honest. Goals mean absolutely nothing without a clear plan of action to accomplish them. I’m guilty of making a list of things that I want with vague guidelines and the timeline of eventually

Remember this: Eventually is not a date on the calendar and Sometime is not on a clock.

To get where you want to be, it will require intentionality, sacrifice, and effort.

If you’re wondering where in the world the last 8.5 months have gone, annoyed that you haven’t seen as much growth as you wanted, or questioning what to do next, I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt!

I’ve decided to share my “game plan” of intentionality. These three tips are things that I’ve done to stay on track and #GetMyLife.

Organization: Getting on a consistent schedule regardless of the day eliminates stress, confusion, and wasted time. Starting and ending my day with prayer and devotion keeps me calm and focused throughout the day. (Proverbs 13:4)

Growth: Committing to learn continuously is a quality of successful people. I have committed to reading quality, educational content and a minimum of two books per month. How? I barely watch television. My time is precious! (Proverbs 18:15)

Accountability: Setting parameters to ensure that priorities are set and goals are executed. I’ve found that I commit to more when I know that someone is counting on me or that I have a promise to fulfill. (Proverbs 15:22)

Consistency leads to confidence.

Therefore, take these tips and #GetYourLife. Let me know if you apply any of these. I’d love to hear!
